ROASTED AND SPICED NUTS WITH GHEE
Nuts, either roasted or plain are a wonderful healthy snack and great source of protein and good fats. Flavour and protein is boosted by adding a splash of Ghee
Ingredients
Your favourite nuts, either one variety or a mixture.
Sea salt or a spice mix (preferably one you’ve created or perfected, have a go!)
1 tblspn of Dosha Ghee(you could use any of our flavours or ‘Pure’)
Method
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees C.
Roast the nuts for 5 minutes on an oven tray, preferably one with some sides to it.
Check them after 5 minutes and give them a shake and a toss. If they need longer put them back in until they are evenly coloured and a nut brown.
When you are happy remove from the oven and add your salt or spice mix and the Ghee and give them another toss and leave them to cool.
TIP* If you’re not confident tossing in the baking tray or only have a flat tray. Transfer them to a biggish bowl add the spice/salt and Ghee and try tossing that way. Then leave to cool back on the tray.
Also when roasting Hazelnuts roast them for the 5 minutes first, then remove the skins by rubbing them between your hands and follow the above process.
